A Question of Trust by Penny Vincenzi

On November 3, 2017

Penny Vincenzi is one of the UK’s best-loved and most popular authors. Since her first novel, Old Sins, was published in 1989, she has written fifteen bestselling novels, including The Decision and the number one bestsellers The Best of Times and An Absolute Scandal.

Her first ‘proper’ job was at the Harrods Library, aged sixteen, after which she went to secretarial college. She joined the Mirror and later became a journalist, writing for The Times, the Daily Mail and Cosmopolitan amongst many others, before turning to fiction.

A Question of Trust is vintage Vincenzi, full of glamour, love and conflict.

In 1950s London Tom Knelston is a working class young man with political aspirations. He is devastated after the loss of his young wife and child but soon finds Alice who shares his vision and passion. They marry and life seems to favour them blessing them with the children.

However, the beautiful Diana Southcott, a model with a floundering marriage sparks Tom’s attention and threatens to undo all he holds dear. Tom’s morals are soon called into question and he is forced to make decisions on his career and family.

The perfect read curled up by the fireplace. You can buy the book here in Australia and here in the UK.
