Bridget Jones is back!

On May 30, 2013

By Sophia Whitfield

Remember the singleton from 1996? That lovable character who listened to Sad FM alone with only a cube of cheese left in her refrigerator. She was plagued by a daily battle to lose weight, give up alcohol and most of all avoid Daniel Cleaver. We fell in love with her when we read the book and then again when Renee Zellweger portrayed her on screen. She was our heroine. But, lately, she has been rather quiet. So what has she been up to?

11.27 p.m. Just presss d SEND. Iss fineisnít it?

You see, this is the trouble with the modern world. If it was the days of letter-writing, I would never even have started to find his address, a pen, a piece of paper, an envelope, a stamp, and gone outside at 11.30p.m. to find a postbox. A text is gone at the brush of a fingertip, like a nuclear bomb or exocet missile.

DATING RULE NO:1
DO NOT TEXT WHEN DRUNK

(Excerpt from BRIDGET JONES: MAD ABOUT THE BOY)

There she is. Back with us once again. Helen Fieldingís upcoming book, MAD ABOUT THE BOY, will be released in October. Here is a sneak peek at the front cover.

Who is the boy? Helen Fielding and those publicists at Random House are being terribly secretive.

All we have from Helen Fielding is: ďBridgetís life has moved on.Ē

Itís going to be a long wait until October.
