Netflix has announced that the TV adaptation of Cassandra Clare’s bestselling The Mortal Instruments series will be released on January 13.
Shadowhunters, the name of the TV adaptation, will air the day after it’s broadcast in the US on ABC.

We’re delighted that Netflix will be showing it so soon after the US release, so that existing fans and a whole new audience can share in the excitement of this amazing series brought to live on TV.”
Shadowhunters stars Katherine McNamara as Clary Fray, and Dominic Sherwood as Jace Wayland.
