Reasons to be cheerful? Eddie Redmayne is up for an Oscar. With a Golden Globe and BAFTA already in hand for his performance as Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything we have high hopes for him this Sunday. So, what is Eddie not able to do?

The versatile Eddie Redmayne plays the formidable Balem Abrasax in the Wachowskis science fiction film, Jupiter Ascending. You can see Eddie in it this week.

He has already won the Golden Globe and BAFTA for his performance as Stephen Hawking. Because, simply put, he is brilliant.

We do love a man who can sing. Eddie grieves for his fallen fellow men in Les Miserables as he sings Empty Chairs at Empty Tables.

He won our hearts in My Week with Marilyn.
