girlonthetrainThe first images of Emily Blunt in The Girl on the Train have been released. She is sporting greasy hair and a glow that comes from excessive alcohol consumption. Her dowdy grey coat completes the image.

Blunt play alcoholic Rachel Watson, the main protagonist in Paula Hawkins runaway bestseller. Released earlier this year to much acclaim, the film adaptation will be out next October. The book was set in London but as you can see from these images filming has started in New York. Blunt does apparently keep her English accent for the film.

Blunt is joined by a stellar cast including Lisa Kudrow, Justin Theroux and Rebecca Ferguson. Take a look at the first images here.

The Girl on the Train was selected as a Book of the Week in January this year. You can buy it here.
