George Clooney has taken over Downton Abbey for nine minutes.

Clooney made a special guest appearance to support ITV's annual charity Christmas appeal (Text Santa) which aims to raise awareness and donations for six UK charities, who all provide essential practical support or services for people in need.

The charities being supported this year are:
Alzheimer’s Society
Guide Dogs
Marie Curie Cancer Care
Teenage Cancer Trust
Together for Short Lives
WellChild
