A second season of the Netflix series The Crown is on its way in November.
In the acclaimed series Prince Philip is played by Matt Smith and Queen Elizabeth by Claire Foy.

Writer Peter Morgan said the second series focuses on Prince Philip and his ‘complexities’.
"I find him extraordinarily interesting - his childhood, again, you couldn't make it up. The soul of season two is about his complexity."

The second series continues where the first series ended, in 1956 and moves forward to 1964.

Golden Globe-winning actress Claire Foy has confirmed that this will be her last series.
