Ewan McGregor is set to play Lumiere in Disney’s live-action retelling of Beauty and the Beast. He joins Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey) who plays the Beast and Emma Watson (Harry Potter) who plays Belle.

Luke Evans is also on board to play Gaston. Ian McKellen will play Cogsworth and Emma Thomspon Mrs Potts.

Stanley Tucci has also just closed a deal to join the cast. Tucci will be playing Cadenza the grand piano, a new character described as a neurotic maestro.

Beauty and the Beast is one of the most highly anticipated remakes. The film boasts an incredible casts and after the success of Cinderella it is sure to appeal to a diverse audience.
