On April 21, 2016

Emily Blunt plays alcoholic Rachel Watson, the main protagonist in Paula Hawkins runaway bestseller, The Girl on the Train. The book was set in London but filming took place in New York although Blunt keeps her English accent for the film.

Blunt is joined by a stellar cast including Lisa Kudrow, Justin Theroux and Rebecca Ferguson. The film will be released in October.

In the thriller, Rachel (Blunt), who is devastated by her recent divorce, spends her daily commute fantasizing about the seemingly perfect couple who live in a house that her train passes every day, until one morning she sees something shocking happen there and becomes entangled in the mystery that unfolds.

The Girl on the Train was selected as a Book of the Week in January last year. You can buy it here.
