Adele became a star in the UK with her debut album 19 in 2008 and received a Grammy Award nomination for Best New Artist. With the release of her second album 21 (2011) she turned into a worldwide superstar with three consecutive #1 hit singles in the US.
In 2013, she received an Academy Award, a Grammy Award as well as a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song for Skyfall written and composed for the James Bond film.
