Oscar-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman has been found dead in his New York apartment of a suspected drug overdose.

Hoffman, 46, had previously admitted to struggling with drug addiction and had checked himself into rehab in 2012.

Hoffman won the Oscar for his role in Capote. He was recently seen at the Sundance Film Festival to promote his upcoming film A Most Wanted Man.
