What's next for Jamie Dornan

On February 17, 2015

Fifty Shades of Grey broke box office records all around the world over the Valentine’s Day weekend. Jamie Dornan is everywhere! He has gone from success in the brilliant TV series The Fall starring with Gillian Anderson to international recognition in Fifty Shades of Grey. So what’s next for Jamie Dornan?

Fifty Shades Darker is in the pipeline but in the meantime Dornan seems to be following in the footsteps of Kevin Spacey choosing to partner with Netflix. Dornan will star in the war thriller Jadotville which will be released in 2016 exclusively with Netflix. It seems Netflix are looking at adding movies to their growing staple of series drama.

Set in 1961, Jadotville tells the true story of Commander Patrick Quinlan (Dornan) who led an Irish U.N. battalion of 150 men against 3,000 Congolese troops, led by French and Belgian mercenaries working for mining companies. The film also stars Guillaume Canet (Tell No One) as the French commander who sought to defeat Quinlan and his men.

“The story of how Pat Quinlan led his troops against an overwhelming force without losing a single man is one of the great stories of the 20th century, and we are proud to be working with such a talented and committed team to bring it to life,” Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos said.

A little different to Fifty Shades?
